Fire Insurance

 

AmG Insurance Berhad - Fire Insurance 

The plan provides compensation to the insured person in the event of there being fire damage to the property. Property insured can be building, plant, machinery and stock.

Scope of Coverage
A standard Fire policy covers loss and/or damage by

1. Fire
2. Lighting
3. Explosion of domestic gas cylinder or domestic boilers used for illuminating or domestic purposes in a building in which gas is not generator not forming part of a gas work
4. Damage by water or other extinguishing agents used to put out the fire
5. Damage resulting from gaining access to a fire
6. Smoke damage caused by fire

Exclusions

• loss by theft or looting during or after occurrence of a fire
• loss or damage due to won fermentation natural heating or spontaneous combustion
• burning of property by or order of public authority and subterranean fire
• loss or damage due to war, earthquake, volcanic eruption or other convulsion of nature
• loss or damage due to nuclear weapons material, terrorism, typhoon, hurricane, tornado, cyclone or other Atmospheric disturbance
• loss or damage caused by pollution or contamination
• loss or damage by burning of forests, bush, lalang, prairie, pampas or jungle and clearing of lands by fire.

Extensions
Certain perils can be included in the fire policy by charging additional rates for example:

• Aircraft damage
• Earthquake and volcanic eruption
• Storm tempest
• Flood
• Explosion
• Impact damage
• Bursting or overflowing of water tanks apparatus or pipes
• Electrical installation
• Bush/lalang fire
• Subsidence & landslip
• Spontaneous combustion
• Riot strike
• Malicious damage
